Usage and dosage

One syringe of FATROMIXIN Endommamario Asciutta corresponds to 100 mg of rifaximin for the quarter udder, after the last milking, no more than 7 weeks before the scheduled birth.

Squeeze and dry each quarter of the udder, then clean and disinfect the udder nipples (especially hole) with adequate preparation. Remove the cover from the cannula intramammary syringes for single extension, complete use of the drug requires removal of the dosing  cylinder. Retractable cannula into the channel from the nipple and inject into the interior contents of the syringe.

Pull out the cannula, with the fingers of one hand catch the end of the nipple, with thumb and index finger of the other hand suppress gently upwards product located in the channel of the nipple.

Then gently massage udder with both hands pushing up, in order to spread the product evenly throughout the glandular part of the udder.

FATROMIXIN Endommamario Asciutta has intramammary syringes by "Twinsert" system*. "Twinsert" system allows for partial and full extension intramammary cannula of the syringe into the channel udder.

Treatment against mastitis with a partial withdrawal of the cannula into the channel of the udder allows to significantly reduce new infections.

In fact, the full extension of the cannula increases the entry of bacteria and at the same time, can result in bringing the bacteria contained in the keratin layer (which covers the opening in the nipple) directly into the channel of the nipple.

For partial withdrawal, cannula includes only a few millimeters into the canal of the udder, avoids dilatation of the sphincter, does not damage the layer of keratin and furthermore allows taking antibiotics along the canal nipples / breasts.

When cows are very nervous, and when there are violations of the nipple or in other special situations, completely retractable cannula may prove easier.

OTHER INFORMATION

FATROMIXIN Endommamario Asciutto is a product based on riflaximina, a synthetic antibiotic belonging to the ansamycin family. The mechanism of action of rifaximin is expressed through the interaction of RNA polymerase with the DNA depends on the consequent blocking of protein synthesis.

The spectrum of action includes basic rifaximin bacteria responsible for bovine mastitis: Staphylococcus aureus (including those which are resistant to penicillins), Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcvus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, Actinomyces pyogenes. Pharmacokinetic studies reveal virtually negligible passage across the epithelium, allowing optimum performance rifaximin at the part to be treated.

Formulation FATROMIXIN Endommamario Asciutto represents a high degree of stability and constant viscosity at different ambient temperatures. Special features allow for complete and immediate transfer of the active principle substance.
